Hi folks,
We are looking for a kidney donor for a member of the Mythical
Journeys, CTRF family Fred Werner. Fred is the EMT for Mythical
Journeys and for CTRF as well as the Supporting Cast Coordinator,
Cash Office Manager, and Resident Techie. He truly is an excellent
person and deserving of a chance to live a more complete life. Be
it helping the injured, or a good piece of advise when needed, Fred
truly is a healer of people's problems. And, for certain, this world
could use to see him around for a good bit longer.
Fred has a Type A blood type, the Positive or negative doesn't matter
in this case. So, that means anyone with a type A or type O could be
a potential donor. The transplant would take place in Hartford and
would be a 2-3 day hospital stay, but testing would be done more
locally to the donor. All donor related expense will be covered by
his insurance. To get the ball rolling to see if you could be a donor
call EMILY BERGER at Hartford Hospital Transplant Program at 860 545
4219.
Folks, I know this is a tough decision to make, and a very important
one, but this is an opportunity to be a real Hero for somebody who
has made a big impact in many of our lives and is one of the
genuine "good guys" out there.
I am posting this because Fred is a friend of mine. For those of you
who don't know I am deeply involved with CTRF among other things. If
you are healthy and are even THINKING about this PLEASE call. It
only takes a moment. We have already lost someone very dear to us
because a donor wasn't found. Walter Sobczak. Please help.
